Descent

A son of Aleksander Czepieliński and Zuzanna née Możejko.

Education

He finished middle school in Minsk.

Work

He worked as a Polish language teacher at a middle school in Minsk. In 1861, he was dismissed from the school for his patriotic views. After that, he went to work at the excise duty office in Vilnius, and later at the Bank of Poland in Warsaw. He was also a lecturer of the Polish language and the history of Polish literature. The author of school textbooks, a specialized (legal) Polish-Russian dictionary, a section of Słownik języka polskiego (Polish Dictionary), published in Vilnius (entries from S to Z), and co-author of Słownik języka polskiego (Polish Dictionary), published in Warsaw.
