The “Education” Federation of Polish Societies

Work

The “Education” Federation of Polish Societies (Związek Towarzystw Polskich „Oświata”) was established in 1921 in Curitiba by three priests of the Congregation of the Mission: Jan Rzymełka, Stanisław Piasecki and Józef Joachim Góral. “Education” – along with the “Culture” Federation of Educational and Fostering Societies – was one the most prominent Polish diaspora societies in Brazil at the close of the 19th century. The federation’s work focused on supporting the Polish education system in southern Brazil, upskilling teachers and publishing.
