Jeremiasz Roter

No precise information about Roter’s descent and education is available. It is presumed that he began his education in Głogówek Śląski, later continuing it at the middle school of St. Mary Magdalene’s parish in Wrocław.

In the years 1610–1621, he worked as a teacher at St. Mary Magdalene’s Middle School in Wrocław, quitting his teaching job in approx. 1621. He stayed in Wrocław and gave private lessons for a living. In 1626, he passed the exam before the Evangelical Consistory of Wrocław and became a Polish deacon in Powidzko. The author of the first Polish grammar book in Silesia, co-author of a four-language dictionary.
